Students in Licensed Practical/ Vocational Nurse are trained in the following subject areas:

  • Providing basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperature or blood pressure, under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Observing patients, charting and reporting changes in their conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action
  • Administering prescribed medications to patients, and noting times and amounts on patients’ charts

Career Options
