Work-Based Learning Program
The Work-based Learning (WBL) Program allows students to gain greater growth in their career technical skills and abilities in a real workplace.
Purpose
The purpose of the WBL Program is of great importance to a student's chosen career. It helps strengthen the student's abilities in the workplace and refine the career technical skills learned on center. It also helps students feel more sure when beginning their job search. Students are not alone in this process. They are assisted by the WBL Coordinator and their career technical training instructors.
Benefits
The benefits of this program are:
- The workplace is located near where you live.
- Money is provided for lunch.
- Passes with pay (if needed).
- Uniforms and tools.
- Recommendation letters.
- Transportation (if needed).
Occasionally, our graduates are hired by the same employers they worked with during their time in the WBL Program.
